Utah State Quarter:
Utah became our 45th state on January 4th, 1896. Utah's state quarter features two locomotives moving toward the golden spike which brought together Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads. The two railroads helped joined together the East and West. The coin quotes the phrase "Crossroads of the West." The joining of the two railroads made travel cross country much more convenient.
