Kentucky State Quarter:
Kentucky is best known as "The Blue Grass State" for it's grazing grass for racehorses. Kentucky is the home to the infamous Kentucky Derby held yearly at Churchill Downs Racetrack. The state quarters shows a racehorse behind the fence and in the background features a view of Federal Hill, which is the Bardstown home where Stephen Foster wrote the state song " My Old Kentucky Home". Kentucky became a state June 1, 1792, It is our nations 15th state.
